“EAT, PRAY, CARDS” JULY SCHEDULE
In July, our “Eat, Pray, Cards” group will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25.   All are invited to come!  We meet in the newly revamped Sunday School room for a light brunch, a brief devotion, and a highly competitive round of cards.  Hope to see you there!

THANK YOU TO OUR PRINCE OF PEACE VOLUNTEERS SERVING CHRIST!  Check out the display in the narthex listing the results of our recent Prince of Peace Time and Talent survey.  We are incredibly blessed by God to have so many people who are willing to perform all the jobs that make a church family vibrant, healthy, welcoming and caring!  If you did not fill out a time and talent form, you will find them on the table in the narthex.  Just fill one out and hand it in with your offering, or bring it to the church office.  Or, you can write your name directly on the display sheets in the narthex.  God needs us all to be actively engaged in his ministry!  Praise be to him for all the faithful people at Prince of Peace who are willing to volunteer themselves to his ministry!

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GATHERINGS take place in the youth room every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.  Check the "Youth" page for updates!

THE SAINT JOSEPH FOOD PANTRY NEEDS OUR HELP!
Demand is high, and food supplies for the pantry are often stretched.  Bring your canned and non-perishable goods to the boxes in the breezeway entrance (near the church offices).  Your donations will be a blessing to families in need in our community!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL LEADERS NEEDED!  Please sign up on the list in the narthex to help with our Vacation Bible School—“Shipwrecked”— the week of July 30-August 3!  We need volunteers to serve in the following roles:
-Station Leaders (Teachers/Leaders for Bible Stories, Games, Crafts, and Music)
-Crew Leaders (Chaperones for the rotating groups)
-Food Service Preparation
-Drama/Skits
-Audio Visual, Photography
-Decorations and Building Prep

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL MATERIALS NEEDED!  We’re seeking findings of several items for assistance in creating this amazing island! If you're able to provide any of these materials for our creation, please bring these materials to church and deposit them in the narthex or breezeway entrances!  Your donations (and the materials you lend) are greatly appreciated!
This year, think nautical themed items.  If you have nautical themed items you would like to donate or loan that might fit the theme we would love to use it for our decorations. If you would like your nautical items returned, please attach a note with your name!
We are also seeking donations of the following items:
-- paper towel rolls
--coffee filters
--vines and tropical greenery 
-- pool noodles
--large brown paper lunch bags
--grass table skirting

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL DECORATING SCHEDULE:
Please come and help us get the church building ready for “Shipwrecked” Vacation Bible School.  The remaining decorating schedule is:
Wednesday, July 18 at 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, July 26 at 6:00 p.m.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 18TH HAS BEEN SET FOR FAMILY DECORATING DAY.  PLEASE COME AND HELP US DECORATE IF YOU’RE AVAILABLE!

UPDATED DIRECTORY:  We will be printing updated copies of the directory soon.  If you could please leave a note in the offering plate or contact Lori, if you have a change in address/phone number or email, that would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE HELPERS:  The Landscape Committee would like to thank those who volunteered on the Time and Talent sheets to help with landscaping duties.  We could use your help this summer by signing up to water the flower pots and gardens.  A sign-up sheet is posted in the narthex.  The obligation is for one week.  You may have to water approximately three times per week.  Someone from the committee will contact you to show you where you need to water and to obtain a watering key.  For any questions, please contact either Delores Ribbe, Lavonne Alcorn, Dwayne Gilliland, or Melinda Pratt.  Thank you.

POP PLUS will be meeting at Urbana Gardens on Thursday, July 19th at 9AM.   Please sign up if you plan to join so they can have a table ready for us.  Come and join us for a good breakfast and fellowship!
