Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
Saint Joseph, Illinois
We are a family of believers, united to know Christ and make him known.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GATHERINGS take place in the youth room every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.  Check the "Youth" page for updates!

Demand is high, and food supplies for the pantry are often stretched.  Bring your canned and non-perishable goods to the boxes in the breezeway entrance (near the church offices).  Your donations will be a blessing to families in need in our community!

WOMEN’S COFFEE AND PRAYER:  All women are invited to gather bright and early every Wednesday morning at Geschenk Coffee Haus in downtown St. Joseph. We meet at 7am for about 45 minutes of conversation, a devotional, and prayer.  And, we enjoy a variety of delicious hot and cold coffees and teas plus breakfast items.  It’s a wonderful start to the day; Jesus, prayer, hugs, and sweet friendship. Come anytime, and bring a friend!

ALTAR FLOWER CHART:  For the next few weeks the altar flower chart will be posted in the fellowship area for those wanted to sign up for a date in 2019.  After that, it will be posted on the bulletin board next to Lori’s office.
MEALS ON WHEELS:  The Meals on Wheels sign up has been posted in the Narthex for 2019.  Prince of Peace delivers meals every Monday throughout the year.  Please consider signing up for a month!
PRINCE OF PEACE MEMBERSHIP:  Are you interested in becoming a member at Prince of Peace?  If so, please fill in a blue visitor card, and indicate your interest. Pastor Donna will be in touch with you. Thanks!

 Ash Wednesday Worship
Plan to join us for the start of Lent at Prince of Peace on Wednesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. As we begin the Lenten journey of repentance and devotion, we meet the Communion table and hear the call to seek God’s will for us. The opportunity for the Imposition of Ashes, an ancient tradition of the church, is a focal point of the service. Please join us.

Lenten Midweek Worship
This year Prince of Peace will, once again, join with our neighboring NALC congregations for a Lenten “Round Robin,” with a different pastor visiting us to lead worship and preach every week. Services will be Wednesday at 7, preceded by a Soup Supper at ___. The theme of our services this year will be “Great Hymns for Lent and Holy Week.” Each pastor has selected and will focus on a hymn that focuses on Lenten themes and/or events. Please join us!
