ANNOUNCEMENTS:

EAT, PRAY, CARDS:  WEDNESDAYS AT 10:00 A.M.
Starting on Wednesday, September 20th, all are invited to meet in the newly revamped Sunday School room for a light brunch, a brief devotion led by Pastor Seth, and a few rounds of cards.  We will meet at 10:00 a.m. every Wednesday.  Please sign up in the Narthex if you will be attending either the first or second meetings (September 20 or 27th).

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY:  “The Feminine Soul; Surprising Ways the Bible Speaks to Women.”  This 12 week women’s evening Bible study begins Tuesday, August 22nd, at 6:30pm.  Author Janet Davis unveils the gentle, but relentless, love of God for women as revealed through scripture narratives. In addition to her refreshing perspectives on Biblical women, Davis challenges today's women to examine our own lives in light of our calling as cherished daughters of God, encouraging us to embrace our own strength, our own voice, our own Feminine Soul.  Pick up or download a copy and prepare to discuss the introduction and chapter 1 on the first night.  No homework. Interesting conversation. And, chocolate.  Bring a friend!  Questions?  Contact the church office.

MEALS ON WHEELS delivery is open for October through December.  Please consider delivering meals on Monday’s.  The sign up is just outside the office.  If you have any questions, please contact Lori.

POPS PLUS WEINER ROAST:  Come Thursday, September 21 to Steve and Linda LeRette's Pond Palace. We'll gather at 6 to roast hot dogs. Please sign up for side dishes (buns needed). We'll furnish the hot dogs, iced tea, lemonade and coffee. Bring a lawn chair.  The sign ups are posted on the bulletin boards.

THANK YOU FROM THE STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE:  Thanks to all of you, our generous Prince of Peace family, we were able to collect enough loose change to purchase the bags for the LWR kits!  The Stewardship Committee is grateful for your support!

ADULT SUNDAY EDUCATION:  “HOW HAS GOD GIFTED YOU FOR MINISTRY?”  Jason Emmert will be leading a discussion of the Fivefold Ministries from September 17th--October 1st.  Fill out a survey from today’s bulletin and come to class to find out what it says about the special gifts God has given you to serve in his church and in the world.  We meet in the main sanctuary from 10:30 to 11:15 each Sunday.  Bring your coffee and join the discussion!

KIDSZONE REGULAR CLASSES START SUNDAY!  All youths aged pre-K through 6th grade will meet in the West Fellowship Hall on Sunday to begin KidsZone at 10:30.  After a full-group activity, the children will break into three separate groups (pre-K-K; grades 123, grades 456) for the last 25 minutes of class.  Parents, please pick your children up at 11:15 in their separate classrooms!

KIDSZONE SUNDAY SCHOOL LEADERS NEEDED!
We are in need of many volunteers to fill teaching, crew leadership, and helper positions for KidsZone.  It is not a full year commitment; you can sign up for particular days or for whatever period of time works for your schedule.  Please contact Shane Remington or Pastor Seth if you have any questions about serving and for a calendar of open leadership roles and dates.  The children of Prince of Peace need the adults of our congregation to teach them about Jesus!  Please pray for our Sunday School program as we get ready to start another great year of Christian education!
