Adult Christian Education at Prince of Peace

The culture in which we live today tends to be either indifferent or increasingly unfriendly to the Christian proclamation. Every age has its unique challenges, but most people of faith would probably agree: it's not easy being an active Christian in today's world. More than ever, we need to know the One to whom we belong, and to understand the unique identity and mission he has given us. This is why we strongly emphasize and encourage ongoing Bible-based Christian education for adults at Prince of Peace.

SUNDAY MORNINGS at 10:15 (Between Worship Services)

Adults participate in faith education classes every Sunday morning at Prince of Peace. Usually, our pastor leads the classes, but we welcome guest speakers and lay leaders. In 2007, we studied a variety of topics: World Religions; Basics of Lutheran Christianity; Just War and Pacifism in Christian History; Various Bible Studies; What's Going on the National Church; and others. See our home page for what is currently being offered on Sunday mornings! Sunday class meets in our East (New) Fellowship Hall at 10:15 a.m.

WEEKNIGHT BIBLE STUDIES

Weeknight Bible studies are regularly offered from September through April at Prince of Peace. Participants in Bible studies can request particular books from the Bible to study, or the pastor will choose a curriculum. In 2007 we've studied the book of Genesis, the first twenty chapters of Exodus, Revelation, and others. Weeknight Bible studies typically take place on Mondays or Tuesdays, are an hour and a half in length, and span a four to eight week period. See our home page for news on what is currently being offered!
